Does Bouncer Age Gate check ID?
No. Bouncer Age Gate asks the shopper to confirm their age. It does not check identity documents. If the law where you sell requires an ID check, you need a different kind of service.

What age verification modes are available?
Three modes: Yes/No mode (simple two-button confirmation), Date of Birth mode (full DOB entry with automatic age calculation and configurable minimum age), and Checkbox mode (terms agreement checkbox with customisable text).
Does the age verification popup remember visitors?
Yes. The app uses a smart cookie system with configurable duration from 1 day to 1 year. Once a visitor verifies their age, they won't be asked again until the cookie expires. No personal data is stored in the cookie, only the verification status.
Can I apply age verification to specific pages only?
Yes. You can gate your entire store or target specific page types only. Configuration is done through Shopify's native theme customizer, no coding required.
Does the Bouncer Age Gate collect personal data?
No. The app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. When using Date of Birth mode, the DOB is processed entirely in the visitor's browser and discarded immediately after age calculation. The cookie only stores a verification status flag.
